The best way to receive from God is to position yourself and your family in this Spiritual Home, and wholeheartedly respond in faith to His calling and purposes for your life
Our Vision
Transforming lives for good, through the love and power of Jesus Christ
We are a community of believers that are passionate about the things of God and because of this, we have a passion for people, our city, and our world
Our rich history has shaped our core values. Our culture is characterised by worship, the presence of God, family, revival, miracles and healings, and a culture of honour
Our Senior Pastors
Ross & Mary-Lyn have been the Senior Pastors at Bayside Christian Church for the last 22 years and have seen the church grow significantly during this time. They came from the Sunshine Coast where they had been the pastors of a growing and successful church for 12 years. Their three adult children Steven, Tim and Rachael are all involved in church life and serve in various areas of ministry in Hervey Bay, Brisbane and Gold Coast
Ross & Mary-Lyn have been married for 44 years and have developed a really good team ministry together, complementing each other with their personalities and ministry gifts. They have trained an exceptional team of leaders and volunteers to minister to the church, the city and the Wide Bay region. Their leadership and ministry is characterised with a strong love for people and a clear prophetic edge
Ross & Mary-Lyn are involved in many aspects of leadership in community life including being the Wide Bay Regional Leaders of the Australian Christian Churches. Ross is the treasurer of the Hervey Bay Christian Ministers Association and also on the Board of Bayside Transformations. One of their strong desires is to see people set free so that they can live fruitful and effective lives.
They have a strong vision to see the transformation of Hervey Bay and beyond with the life and power of Jesus Christ, and would love to meet you at Bayside Christian Church
Our Mission

Always Generous
We believe in sowing generously of our time, talent and treasure into Bayside Church, our spiritual home
Yes, to the Holy Spirit
We value and honour the Presence of the Holy Spirit
Service
We serve Jesus by serving others
Inclusive
We believe that EVERYONE needs to belong to a spiritual home
Discipleship
We believe that discipleship is about having a relationship by meeting, knowing, growing and serving Jesus with all of our hearts
Evangelism
We endeavour to find ways for family and friends to experience the love and truth of Jesus
Our Heritage
Bayside Christian Church commenced in 1940 as an outreach from the Maryborough Assembly of God church in Urangan. The church grew steadily in the first 25 years then relocated to Pialba in 1964. The church then moved into a new and larger facility at its present location on Neils St, Pialba in 1979
During the 80's and 90's, the church continued to grow as the Hervey Bay area rapidly expanded
In October 2001, Pastor Ross & Mary-Lyn Davie and family moved from the Sunshine Coast to become the senior pastors. Since then, Bayside has grown to become a healthy and vibrant regional church with over 500 adults and children now calling Bayside their spiritual home
Australian Christian Churches
Bayside Christian Church is affiliated with the Australian Christian Churches (ACC), formerly known as the Assemblies of God in Australia. This movement of churches was commenced in 1937 in Australia and has now grown to over 1100 churches
In our church, you will find vibrant and contemporary Christians who love the Lord Jesus Christ, express that love in lively praise and worship and in caring relationships. Australian Christian Churches are Bible-believing, Pentecostal and Evangelistic. They believe in the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit and desire to show the fruit of the Spirit in their lives
